Who We Are
DERCA (Distributed Energy Resources Council for Africa) is a pan-African industry association dedicated to accelerating the adoption, integration, and regulation of distributed energy solutions across the continent.
As Africa transitions toward a more resilient and sustainable energy future, DERCA serves as the unified voice of the DER ecosystem — representing companies, innovators, investors, utilities, and development partners working at the edge of the grid.
We believe that clean, decentralized energy technologies — including rooftop solar, battery storage, mini-grids, energy efficiency tools, Electric Vehicles and digital solutions — are critical to achieving energy security, economic inclusion, and climate resilience across Africa.
